Thin Wallets

At SlimFold, not a single one of our ultra thin wallets weighs more than 1oz or exceeds 5mm in thickness. For a closer look, we’ve put together the chart below to easily compare them.

In general, the most popular minimalist wallet is the Soft Shell MICRO. It’s plenty thin and light and our most durable. That said, if you have more than about 8 cards, it gets a little snug so the original size Soft Shell may be a better option, which can hold up to 20 cards.

The Tyvek slim wallets are even thinner and extremely durable, but doesn’t stay looking new for as long as the Soft Shells. Their lifespan can range from 6 months to 4 years depending on use. In general, the fewer cards they carry, the longer they stay looking new and the longer they last overall. The MICRO is our most popular Tyvek model and works best for up to 10 cards. But the Original size holds 11 cards and is thinner when fully loaded because it spreads the cards in 2 stacks.

Soft Shell

Our MICRO Soft Shell wallet has been a best seller and SlimFold favorite since it first launched. Similar to our Tyvek Micro in construction, it uses our very own custom produced and ultra durable waterproof Soft Shell material.

Tyvek®

A product of USA, this unique class of non-woven material was developed by DuPont™ and is composed of tiny plastic strands in randomly overlapping patterns. This creates the swirls on the surface as well as the anomaly of an incredibly thin material that's strong, durable and almost impossible to tear.
